EDU 31600 Language Acquisition and Development for Young Children
This course includes a study of the nature of language, the normal sequence of language development, and an introduction to the theories of language acquisition. This course includes a concern for: understanding the influence of environment and culture in language development, development of techniques and materials for stimulating language growth, identification of speech and articulation problems and appropriate referral methods, familiarity with instruments, and techniques for assessing language development.
