SW 36000 Service Learning
Effective and responsible social work practice requires that students understand and develop a capacity to manage their own behavior, adapt themselves to the social work agency, and be prepared to service the agency and its clientele. This course will be organized around the central themes of professionalism, organizational behavior, and social work service. Students will be placed in supervised social service agencies to complete a minimum of 100 hours of service as defined by the site-based social work supervisor.
