Middle school education certification may be achieved in any of the following areas: language arts, speech/theatre, industrial technology, science, social science, business education, and engineering and technology.

The Master of Arts in Teaching with middle school certification preparation program includes the 48-51 credit hours of graduate course work listed above (see Secondary School Certification Preparation), possible content area course work, plus:
