ICJ 31500 Victimology

This course will examine the crime victim as a social phenomenon. It will explore the role of the victim in criminal acts and delve into the treatment of victims by the police and the courts. Victims' rights will be examined in relationship to new offender treatment programs such as Restorative Justice and Victim’s Compensation Funding.
