PARA 38800 Clinical Practicum I

Students will perform clinical rotations at program hospitals and clinics to develop paramedic skills and competencies under the supervision of licensed clinical preceptors. Students will perform a variety of basic and advanced paramedic psychomotor skills including patient assessment, airway management and pharmacological skills in outpatient clinics, surgery, respiratory therapy and laboratory settings. Lab fee required.

Prerequisite

CPR certification, medical screening, current vaccinations, criminal background check, and drug screen. PARA 30000 and placement in MTH 12100 or higher. All prerequisite courses must have a grade of C or better.
