HIS 31800 History of Race in America

The United States remains a nation of peoples from different races ethnic groups and nationalities whose cultural backgrounds and American responses to them have shaped the nations history and culture. The course will focus on the role and experiences of African-Americans American Indians Hispanics immigrants and Asians to gain a greater understanding of the ideas traditions and events that have shaped the ways people of different backgrounds live in America.
