EDU 50900 Analysis and Correction of Reading Difficulties

This course is designed to teach the diagnostic/prescriptive process necessary to deal with students of various levels in the classroom. Teacher candidates learn to use and analyze a variety of informal and standardized diagnostic reading tests appropriate for individual and group diagnosis. Teacher candidates also learn to use commercial and teacher-made materials for both assessment and instruction. This course is to be taken concurrently with EDU 50999 for teacher candidates working towards early childhood, early childhood special education, and elementary education certification.
