EDU 54410 Elementary Differentiation and Classroom Management
This course examines the specific demands required for differentiated instruction in diverse elementary classroom settings. Teacher candidates in this course will identify specific strategies necessary for creating a productive environment for academic achievement. Teacher candidates will examine the process of consulting and collaborating with other professionals for cooperative teaching situations. This course will explore techniques of classroom management and identify best practices in managing the needs of multiple students with a range of ability and need. Teacher candidates will create lesson plans aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and incorporate the use of technology to enhance student learning and demonstrate effective teaching pedagogy. Legal and ethical issues that control the use of technology in the classroom will be investigated. This course has a 45-hour practicum.
