Paramedicine, BS Experienced Paramedic Track

78 credit hours

Requirements

  • Current State Paramedic license or National Registry Paramedic.

EMT/Paramedic Licensure Credit

  • 45 credit hours of coursework
  • Experiential Learning Credits
    Forty-five (45) credits will be granted to students entering the paramedicine degree (experienced track) based on the candidate’s professional experience as a licensed paramedic. Proof of current national registry or state paramedic license is required for admission to this track, and prior to awarding credits. A $500 administrative fee is charge in lieu of a per credit charge for experiential credit. All students in this track will be charged the fee regardless of how previous paramedic education credit was obtained.

General Education Coursework

  • 42 credit hours (minimum) - Complete University GE Requirements
  • 3 credit hours coursework - GE-Math Requirement - Must be MTH 14100 or higher.
  • 4 credit hours of coursework - GE-Natural Science & Natural Science with lab Requirement- BSC or CHM coursework preferable.
  • 6 credit hours of coursework - GE-Social Science Requirement - Must include PHS 20000 and PSY 10000.

Courses must be completed with grades of C or better.
