This course is an introduction to the nature of arguments and the criteria for evaluating and constructing arguments. We explore exciting topics like syllogistic reasoning, rules for definitions, informal fallacies, and the basic principles of propositional logic such as translations into formal language, truth evaluations, rules of inference, proofs, and refutations.
