EDA 78200 Principles of Design Thinking

This course provides the doctoral student an overview of the design thinking framework while incorporating research-based tools and methods to solve today’s most pressing educational issues. Through collaboration and active engagement students will discover and apply the five steps of the design thinking process: empathy, define, ideate, pro-typing and testing to their problem of practice, while learning how the current literature, use of secondary data and traditional research methods are integral components to a creative, human-centric problem-solving process.
