FBD 22000 Introduction to the Fashion Industry
This course addresses the historical background of the fashion industry as it relates to fashion careers and businesses. Assignments introduce the fashion design process, trend investigation, consumer research, soft goods retailing, e-commerce, apparel manufacturing, merchandising, and buying, textile design and development, sourcing and production, promotion and marketing, retail sales and management, entrepreneurship, professional behavior and basic business writing. This class may require the use of a virtual reality headset identified by the instructor.
