HIST 26100 History of the Contemporary World

GE-Human Culture: World History/Human Diversity This course studies the history of the world since 1945, the end of World War II. It focuses on the post-1945 super-power rivalry, decolonization, the collapse of European communism, and revolution in the Third World. Areas of emphasis include globalization, terrorism, revolutions, the Indochinese wars, Middle East conflicts, and the origins of the 21st-century world. The course may be taken for honors credit with the instructor's consent.
