Accounting Department
Students pursuing a degree in accounting will acquire both theoretical and practical accounting skills. The accounting degree allows students the flexibility to choose, upon graduation, to enter private industry or to meet the accounting and business credit requirements necessary in order to sit for the Uniform CPA exam. Accounting students aspiring to become CPAs will be required to complete a total of 150 college credit hours become eligible for the CPA Exam and obtain their CPA license (some details vary by state). Students wishing to meet these requirements should consult with a faculty advisor to discuss such plans.
