PHRL 32400 Modern Philosophy

GE-Human Culture: Philosophy What is the nature of mind and world? Can we overcome skepticism? Should we follow reason or experience? We are still dealing with the questions, problems, and answers generated from the revolution in philosophy that gave birth to modern science and the modern world. In this class, we will focus on the nature of the world and our place in it as found in the works of Descartes, Hobbes, Locke, Hume, and Kant, among other philosophers.
