Sport and Society Minor
18 credit hours
The Sport and Society minor provides students the opportunity to explore the reciprocating relationship between sport and society by critically examining sport as an institution, a business, and a cultural catalyst. Micro perspectives that analyze the impact sport has on our mental and physical health, as well as our ability to interact with diverse populations will also be investigated in the coursework. The minor requires 18 credits of coursework that will complement and further prepare students who intend to work in areas of health, business, education, social sciences, communication and/or related fields.
