The Bachelor of Science in psychology is a versatile degree that prepares graduates for lifelong learning and a variety of different career paths. Features of the major include introduction and development of skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, information-gathering and synthesis, inter- and intrapersonal communication, research, and statistical reasoning. The field’s knowledge base regarding human behavior is pertinent to virtually all careers that entail interactions with people. Students with a bachelor’s degree in psychology commonly enter careers in the fields of human services, business, human resources, education, and criminal justice. Our graduates also pursue graduate study in a variety of fields, including counseling, psychology, social work, law, healthcare, business, and education.
