REL 32600 Faith and Reason

GE-Human Culture: Religion [GE-Phl-Rel] Christianity has always been about faith seeking understanding, and the relationship between faith and reason has been central to the development of Western intellectual traditions. In this course you will study topics like the place of reason in religion and its relation to faith, the contrast between reason and revelation as sources of knowledge, and the future of religious belief in a secular age.

ENGL 17000 or HIST 16200 or three credit hours of philosophy (PHL 10200 or higher) or three credit hours of religion (REL 15000 or higher) or permission of Religion department chair.
