ICJ 51500 Constitutional Law and Rules of Evidence

This course examines the history and traditions of the United States Constitution and its impact on American criminal justice, with specific focus on the judicial process. The spirit and philosophy of constitutional law will be explored through the study of important criminal and civil case law. The rules of evidence, prescribed by constitutional and statutory law, are examined. Proper evidentiary procedure is explored in-depth and applied to the criminal justice system by examining landmark Supreme Court cases.
