HIS 10800 Women's History in America
This course is a survey of the history of women in the United States from the colonial period to the present.nbsp Topics covered in this course include the intersecting roles of race gender and class in history midwifery and medicalization of childbirth the waves of feminism citizenship and violence evolutions in housework and paid work reproduction and various periods of backlash.nbsp Throughout this course students will explore the role of gender in history.nbsp Throughout this course students will explore the various identities that encompass the category of women along with the continuing impact of institutional sexism on the history of the United States.nbsp This course will complicate the traditional narratives of US history.nbspnbsp/p
