EDA 60910 Secondary School Administration and Organization

As part of the Educational Specialist (EDS) degree, this three-hour course includes a focus on both research and practical application related to the function and role of the effective secondary school principal. Students will be provided with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of the principalship. Topics include policy development, organizational structure, faculty and staff development, communications, instructional leadership, planning strategies and school climate. This course requires the completion of a research based project related to the competencies of a successful secondary principal and 45 hours of internship activities.
