Requirements
A minor in medieval and early modern studies requires 18 credit hours of coursework.
Two required courses:
Four courses chosen from the following options:
At least two of the four must be taken at the 30000- or 40000-level.
These are the recommended courses if selecting ARTH 386xx, ARTH 387xx, ENGL 357xx, ENGL 38xxx, or PHRL 38xxx to fulfill this requirement.

- ENGL 38003 Advanced Topics in Literature: The Rise of the Gothic in English Literature
- PHRL 38002 Topics in Philosophy & Religion: Augustine’s Confession.
Other appropriate courses may count toward the minor with the approval of the director of Medieval and Early Modern Studies Program. No duplicate coursework is permitted.
