HIST 16200 Origins of the Modern World

GE-Human Culture: World History/Human Diversity [GE-WHis] This course examines the global origins of the modern world over the last few centuries. From an historical perspective, it traces the political, economic, and cultural encounters in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe that shape our contemporary globalized world. Topics include: colonialism, imperialism, and nationalism. All sections may be taken for Honors Program credit. Not open to students with credit in HIST 26200.
