ENG 25700 Survey of Greek Literature

This course is a study of works from classical Greek literature focusing on thenbspchanges in philosophical political and economic conditions that are reflected therein. Readings may include works by Homer Aeschylus Sophocles Sappho Aristophanes and Euripides as well as selections from Plato and Aristotle concerning poetry and its role in society.

Prerequisite

STU RDS ER/ENG 17000 with a C or better. English majors may take this class concurrently with ENG 17000.
