HS 21000 Comparative Health Systems

GE-Human Culture: Foreign Culture/Human Diversity  This course uses comparative analysis of health care systems to gain a better understanding of health care systems in several high-income, middle-income and low-income countries. It presents an analyses of health service delivery from an international perspective comparing to US and other global systems. The course addresses health, equity/inequity, and influence of globalization. Health and illness will be discussed in relation to statistical, historic, economic, and socio-cultural phenomena.
