PARA 47103 Critical Care Paramedicine Lab
This course is the laboratory component of the Critical Care Paramedic Series. This course combines didactic study with hands on skills training and simulation. The lab course will cover the following topics:
- Airway Management Review
- Rapid Sequence Induction/Intubation
- Ventilator Setup and Management
- Lab Collection and Analysis
- Chest Tube Insertion and Management
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Cardiac Assist Devices
- Pericardiocentisis/Pericardial Window
- Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
- Nasogastric/Orogastric Catheter Insertion and Maintenance
- Foley Catheter Insertion and Maintenance
- IV Infusion Pumps and Vasoactive Medications
- Obstetrical, Pediatric, and Neonatal skills
- Ultrasound Procedure and Analysis
- Cardiac Specific Skills
