SPA 41500 The 20th-Century Spanish Novel

GE-Human Culture: Literature/Human Culture: Foreign Culture/Human Diversity [GE-CrsClt] This course is a survey of the Spanish novel in the 20th century, with particular attention to the causes and effects of the Spanish Civil War, as reflected in representative works from various literary tendencies. The focus is historical and literary. Through reading and analysis, the student should gain a deeper understanding of the often violent divisions in Spanish society and politics. Taught in Spanish.
