ARTH 36100 Twentieth-Century Art/Modern

GE-Human Culture: Foreign Culture/Human Diversity This course is a study of the developments in Europe and America from the late nineteenth century through the Second World War. Major movements shall be discussed, including Fauvism, Expressionism, Cubism, Dada, and Surrealism, ending with Abstract Expressionism, emphasizing the relationships between art, culture, politics and religion. This class may require the use of a virtual reality headset identified by the instructor.
